Heavyweights Report Card: Bihar Election Result 2025 Winners and Losers

Bihar Election Result 2025: "With 200 paar, phir ek baar" the NDA's 2010 record of 206 seats is about to be broken. Both spectacular successes and devastating setbacks have been the outcomes. Take a peek at the main winners and losers of the crucial 2025 election in Bihar.

WINNER: The NDA's main leader, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, seemed to be profiting from the alliance's big lead. Kumar's governance-first approach appeared to be crucial as JD(U) maintained solid positions in several regions.

WINNER: Tejashwi Yadav received 1,18,597 votes, narrowly defeating BJP's Satish Kumar Yadav, who received 1,04,065 votes.

WINNER: Samrat Chaudhary, the BJP's top state leader, led comfortably from Tarapur. His accomplishment in uniting OBC communities strengthens his position in the BJP's Bihar leadership.

LOST: Mukesh Sahani, the founder of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), who was declared the Mahagathbandhan's deputy chief ministerial candidate, failed to meet expectations, with his party trailing in all 15 seats it contested, according to polling trends.

WINNER: Anant Singh of the Janata Dal (United) won a clear victory in Mokama. Singh secured 91,416 votes.

LOST: Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, experienced little success with his grassroots movement. Despite attracting attention through padyatras and local outreach, the JSP's early results were disappointing, falling short of expectations for a successful start.
