Champions Trophy 2025: England’s Probable Lineup For Against Australia

Champions Trophy, AUS vs ENG: In the fourth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 today (March 22), England will face the current world champion Australia in their first match. This match between the two teams will start at 2.30 pm at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Both the teams will be desperate to start the tournament with a win.

Phil Salt: Salt is a Welsh professional cricketer who plays internationally for England and domestically for Lancashire County Cricket Club, and previously for Sussex. Primarily an aggressive right-handed opening batter, he sometimes keeps wicket and, less frequently, bowls right-arm off spin.

Ben Duckett: Duckett is an English international cricketer who plays for the England cricket team in all three formats of the game. He is a left-handed top-order batter who can play as a wicket-keeper. Duckett plays domestically for Nottinghamshire. He made his international debut for England in October 2016.

Jamie Smith: Smith is an English cricketer who plays for England in all three formats of the game as a wicket-keeper-batter. He plays domestically for Surrey. He has been described by BBC Test Match Special commentator Daniel Norcross as a "generational talent".

Joe Root: Root is an English international cricketer, who plays for the English cricket team and formerly captained the Test team. He also represents Yorkshire in English domestic cricket.

Harry Brook: Brook is an English international cricketer who plays for England in all three formats of the game and is the current vice-captain of the ODI and T20I teams. Brooks plays domestic cricket for Yorkshire. Primarily a right-handed batsman, he also bowls right-arm medium pace.

Jos Buttler: The English skipper is an English cricketer is the captain of the England cricket team in limited-overs cricket, and previously played for the England Test team.

Liam Livingstone: Livingstone is an English cricketer who has captained the England ODI team. He also plays for Lancashire. Livingstone is a right-handed batter and spin bowler, capable of bowling both right-arm leg and off spin. He made his Twenty20 debut for Lancashire against Leicestershire in May 2015.

Brydon Carse: Carse is an English cricketer who plays for Durham and England. Primarily a right-arm fast bowler, he also bats right handed. Born in South Africa, he is the son of Zimbabwean cricketer James Alexander Carse, who played in England for Northamptonshire.

Jofra Archer: Archer is a Barbadian-English cricketer who represents England in international cricket. He is a right-arm fast bowler. In domestic cricket he plays for Sussex as well as a number of T20 franchises.

Adil Rashid: Rashid is an English cricketer who plays for England in One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket, and previously played for the Test team.

Mark Wood: Wood is an English cricketer who plays internationally for England in all formats. In domestic cricket, he represents Durham, and has played for Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. Wood made his Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International debuts in 2015.
