Eligibility: The BH Series number plate is perfect for people who frequently move between states for work. This includes government employees, defence personnel, and employees of banks or large companies with offices in four or more states. All these individuals are eligible to apply.

Benefits: When you move permanently to another state, you usually need to re-register your car, which involves paperwork, fees, and time. With the BH Series number plate, re-registration isn’t required, as it is valid across India, making it very convenient.

Steps to apply: The simplest way to get a BH Series number plate is through your car dealer. They will help you complete Form 20 and submit it to the RTO along with all required documents. The dealer will select the BH Series option during the application. The RTO will then verify your eligibility, and once approved, you’ll receive your BH number plate.

Road Tax: Typically, road tax is paid as a lump sum for 15 years. With the BH Series, however, you pay it every two years, making it easier on your finances. After 14 years, the tax is paid annually. Note that BH Series users do not receive any road tax discounts.
