Before Zakir Khan, These BIG Indian Celebs Once Rocked Madison Square Garden

Zakir Khan took to Instagram to share his emotional experience with fans, calling it a "big day" and expressing how moving it was to perform Hindi comedy for an audience of 6,000. He thanked his friends and team for their support, referring to the event as a "special milestone" in his career.

Big B-Amitabh Bachchan did his first live performance in1983 at New York's Madison Square Garden. In a Instagram post Amitabh Bachchan mentioned, "1983 .. !!! My first LIVE performance .. that sign board at the back is Madison Square Garden New York .. the first ever Indian performer at this most prestigious World Stadium."

In 1985, Lata Mangeshkar & Kishore Kumar did a Sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden.

Kavita Krishnamurthy performed "Vaishnava Jan To," a widely revered Hindu bhajan originally composed in Gujarati in the 15th century by the poet Narsinh Mehta at Madison Square Garden in 2014. This devotional song was a staple in Mahatma Gandhi’s daily prayer routine. She also sang the well-known patriotic anthem "I Love My India," stirring national pride among the crowd of over 20,000 Indian-Americans gathered at a packed Madison Square Garden.
