Abhishek Sharma To Shubman Gill: Top Five Indian Batters Expected To Shine In Asia Cup 2025

As Team India gears up for the Asia Cup 2025, all eyes are on a new generation of batters ready to take center stage in the T20 format.

The dynamic left-hander has been in red-hot form, making a name for himself with aggressive starts and power hitting in the Powerplay. He has played 17 T20Is in which he has scored 535 runs, which includes two centuries and two fifties.

After a brief break from the T20I setup, Gill returns as vice-captain, indicating the faith the selectors have in him. His calm presence and technical prowess at the top make him a vital anchor for the side. Gill has played 21 T20I matches where he has scored 578 runs which includes one century and 3 half-centuries.

India’s T20 captain brings not just leadership but innovation at the crease. Known for his unorthodox strokeplay and fearless approach, Suryakumar Yadav will be central to India’s batting plans in the middle overs and death phases. In his T20I career, Suryakumar Yadav has played 83 T20Is and scored 2598 runs, this includes 4 centuries and 21 fifties.

One of the most consistent young batters in recent T20 outings, Tilak has impressed with his temperament and ability to accelerate under pressure. He’ll likely play a key middle-order role. The young batter has played 25 T20Is in which he has scored 749 runs which includes 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries.

Rinku Singh is known for his finishing abilities and he is definitely a player to watch out for in India's T20I team. Till now Rinku has played 33 T20Is and scored 546 runs which includes 3 half-centuries as well.
