Akash Kulhari’s story is one of remarkable transformation, showing how early failures can be stepping stones to extraordinary success. Born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Akash’s academic journey began with difficulty. In 1996, he scored just 57% in his Class 10 board exams, an outcome that led to his expulsion from school. For many, this would have marked the end of a dream. But for Akash, it was just the beginning of a powerful turnaround.
With the steadfast support of his family, particularly his mother, Akash resumed his education at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bikaner. There, he not only recovered but excelled, scoring an impressive 85% in Class 12. He continued his education by pursuing a B.Com from Duggal College, Bikaner, graduating in 2001. Still driven to prove himself, he moved to Delhi and went on to complete his M.Com and M.Phil at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
It was at JNU that Akash began to seriously consider preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, inspired by his mother’s enduring dream of seeing her children in prestigious government positions. Despite the fierce competition and pressure, Akash cleared the UPSC exam on his very first attempt in 2006, earning a place in the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Over the years, Akash Kulhari has held several high-ranking positions, including serving as Additional Commissioner of Police in Kanpur. His journey is a beacon of hope for students who may falter academically but refuse to give up. Rather than letting early struggles define him, Akash used them as fuel to climb even higher.
Today, IPS Akash Kulhari stands as an example of perseverance, resilience, and the transformative power of belief. His life proves that no obstacle is too great when met with determination and hard work. It is not just a story of becoming an IPS officer, but a lesson in how to rewrite your destiny, no matter where you start from.
