Maithili Thakur

Singer and actress Maithili Thakur also made her entry into politics through the BJP in Bihar politics. Born on 25 July 2000, Maithili Thakur hails from Benipatti in Bihar’s Madhubani district. Coming from a family deeply connected to music, it was natural for her to follow the same path. Her father, Ramesh Thakur, is a music teacher, and Maithili, along with her two brothers, learned the art of music under the guidance of their father and grandfather. Right from childhood, Maithili was trained in both folk and Indian classical music. Growing up in a culturally rich region helped her develop a deep understanding of traditional music forms that are now a big part of her identity.

However, Ritesh’s true passion lay in music. Defying family expectations, he chose to pursue singing and began performing at small local events, according to people close to him. He is contesting on Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party ticket in Kargahar assembly seat. As of 12:45 pm, JD(U) candidate Bashisth Singh leads in Kargahar, with INC’s Santosh Kumar Mishra in second place.
