New Delhi, May 22: Yet to make its official launch in the Indian market, the Xiaomi Redmi K20 smartphone has already garnered quite a lot of attention in this country.
Now the buzz around this smartphone is set to increase with several details about the Redmi K20 being confirmed by the China based company.
According to the latest teaser posted by Redmi Global, the K20 will be powered by a massive 4000mAh battery just like the previous phones of the Redmi Note 7 series.
The Redmi K20 is scheduled to be launched in China on May 28. According to Xiaomi, phone will be launched in India soon.
Xiaomi's long term plans to introduce a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 855 chip in the Indian market have been on the anvil for a long time.
This phone has registered an outrageous score on AnTuTu. Its score on Chinese software benchmarking tool is even greater than Xiaomi's latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 9.
While most flagship devices powered by the Snapdragon 855 have achieved AnTuTu scores of up to 4,00,000 the Redmi K20 manages to notch up a whopping 458,754.
The Mi 9 scores an average of 370,00 on the AnTuTu benchmark site.
It is rumoured that the Xiaomi Redmi K20 will be the cheapest Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone to be launched so far. The Redmi K20 has the code name Raphael on the AnTuTu benchmark site.
This Redmi flagship device is expected to be launched in two versions, the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro.
The main features of the Redmi K20 will be its hardware, cameras, design, pop-up camera and the battery, among others.
It is expected to come in three variants. The base version will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will also have a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model and a 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version.
The Redmi K20 is expected to have a 6.39-inch AMOLED notchless display with a Snapdragon 855 processor that currently powers a variety of top class phones.
It is expected to sport a pop-up selfie camera on the front that will include a 32MP sensor. The back panel will include three cameras with 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide sensor and 16MP telephoto lens.
Both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro are expected to be available in three colours - Carbon Fiber Black, Glacier Blue and Flame Red.
