'X-Men Apocalypse' to release in India a week before US

Chennai: Bryan Singer-directed "X-Men Apocalypse", the most anticipated film in the X-Men franchise, is slated to hit the Indian screens on May 20, a week before its release in the US, Fox Star Studios has announced. "The X-Men franchise in India has a huge fan following, in fact, one of the highest in Asia; and releasing aX- Men Apocalypse' a week before the US will give the Indian fans a chance to catch it prior to most countries," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios said in a statement. The film will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner. IANS
