World’s ‘most-powerful’ gaming smartphone launched in India, know price, specifications and best features

New Delhi, Dec 1, Suneha Mishra: On Thursday, Asus ROG Phone was launched in India. In June 2018, the company's gaming brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) unveiled this gaming smartphone first at Computex.Asus ROG Phone is claimed to be the world's first smartphone with a 3D vapour-chamber cooling system. Asus officially announced the smartphone's price, release date, and launch offers at the launch event in India.The Asus ROG Phone is amongst the first gaming smartphones in the current list, with others including the Xiaomi Black Shark, Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, Nubia Red Magic, and Nubia Red Magic Mars.The important features of the Asus ROG Phone include ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors, a gamer-centric design with side-mounted ports used for landscape-mode, an AMOLED display with HDR visuals.

 Asus ROG Phone price in India, launch offersThe Smartphone's price in India has been marked at Rs. 69,999. It has 8GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant and will be available exclusively via Flipkart,  from November 29. The company is giving no-cost EMI offers (6,9, and 12 months and also Flipkart's Complete Mobile Protection plan for Rs. 999.The price for the accessories was also revealed: Professional Dock at Rs. 5,499, Joystick at Rs. 5,999, TwinView Dock at Rs. 21,999, Desktop Dock at Rs. 12,999, ROG Phone Case at Rs. 2499. Also a Jio offer on the Rs. 509 plan gives 4GB data per day with Rs. 5,000 cashback.

Asus ROG Phone specificationsThe new gaming smartphone runs ROG Gaming UI, based on Android Oreo. It includes features like 6-inch full-HD+, AMOLED display and boasts of 90Hz refresh rate. The handset is a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at up to 2.96GHz, with a gaming-optimised Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU.The all-new smartphone comes in an 8GB of RAM variant. The camera department has a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras and it also has an 8-megapixel front camera. Asus has launched the ROG Phone mode in India that comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage.
