Will ask citizens to do 'dhulai' of officials, if problem remains unresolved: Nitin Gadkari

New Delhi, August 18: Union minister Nitin Gadkari said that he had warned Regional Transport Office (RTO) officials that if a certain problem is not resolved, then he would tell citizens to beat them up.

While addressing a programme of Laghu Udyog Bharti, the road transport minister said this.The Union minister also asked entrepreneurs to expand their businesses fearlessly and not fear harassment at the hands of government officials. 

"Why do all these officials come to you.. to take 'hafta' (bribe). I tell them on their face, you are a government servant, I have been elected by people. I am answerable to people. If you commit theft, I will say you are a thief," Gadkari said.
