He has been the head of the India-based socio-spiritual organization Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) since 23 September 1990.  At the Age of 23, he became the Third Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) group: The only child of his parents, Ram Rahim was born on August 15, 1967 in Sriganganagar , Rajasthan. At the age of 6, he started helping his father by driving tractor on their field. His father was a follower of Shah SatnamJi , the second chief of Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) group. In 1990, Satnam declared Ram Rahim as his successor. This is how he became third chief of DSS, a group founded in 1948, by a man – Beparawah Mastana Ji Maharaj .  He Enjoys Z Level Security Cover: He is one of the 36 people in the country who enjoys the VVIP Status and so a Z – level security cover. This is because he is well-known for wielding influence amongst politicians in Haryana , Rajasthan and Punjab. Nevertheless, the police got to witness the colourful side of this so very Saintly Baba!  Education: Ram Rahim was educated in a school in his village of Sri Gurusar Modia  Political influence : Because of his following, he has been described as being politically influential in the Malwa region of Punjab. In 2014 Haryana polls, his organisation supported Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In February 2015, his organisation openly supported BJP in Delhi elections, saying that he has over 20 Lakh followers in Delhi.
