WhatsApp new feature can shame you in family..Be careful

New Delhi, Nov 23: Whatsapp has been rolling back to back new features for its users to make it more interesting, reliable and easy to use.  WABetaInfo, a renowned Whatsapp update tracking website has reported that the messaging app is planning to introduce a new feature that will allow users to get a preview of the received video from notifications itself. Whereas now we get only the sender's name displayed on the screen and a short snapshot of the video.

Currently, the feature is only available to iOS beta users with WhatsApp version and will be rolled out soon for all the users.

To sum it up, this feature will allow users to get a video preview in push notifications, which will allow them able to view video messages even from lock screens of their smartphones.

However, some reports suggest that everyone is not happy with this update announcement as the new update could turn out to be an embarrassment to people who often share personal and sensitive video content. Post this update, there could be a moment when users could get a video that doesn't want anybody to see but due to this feature, it will be viewable on the locked screen itself.

But if anyone wishes to avoid such awkward moments can customise their notification settings which will allow users to change their preferences and avoid such video pop-ups.

Earlier, messaging app was reported to be working on a new feature called "Add Contact" that allows to quickly add contacts directly in the application.

"It was already possible in the past, but WhatsApp wanted to start to redesign this functionality on IOS and Android, making it easier to use. The feature will replace the current option, so it will be located in the same menu," said WABetaInfo in a blog post late on Tuesday.

For the safety of users, they can also revoke the QR code which then stops it from letting other future users scan the code to get contact information.

"The UI is very simple and intuitive. You can choose the country where the user is located (owner of the phone number you want to add), so WhatsApp will automatically insert the country code, then you can insert the phone number," it added.
