Delhi chikungunya deaths: Centre seeks report from Kejriwal Govt

New Delhi: Union health minister JP Nadda has demanded a detailed report from Delhi government on chikungunya deaths. While briefing media on Wednesday after review meeting over dengue and chikungunya cases Nadda said, “ There is no doubt that chikungunya can't be the cause of death.”

“I also spoke to Delhi Health Min. and asked him if they need anything? He said that we're working in accordance to protocol by Centre,” said JP Nadda.

The union health minister said, “There is no shortage of medicines and testing capabilities across the country. There is no need to panic.”

Meanwhile Dr DS Rana, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi said, “ Not aware of any inquiry as we've not received info in writing.”
