Dadlani meets Jain monk, tenders apology

Chandigarh: Music composer Vishal Dadlani on Wednesday met Jain monk Tarun Sagar at his ashram in Chandigarh and tendered apology for his comments which created an outrage last month.

According to sources, “Vishal Dadlani apologised with folded hands". The Jain monk forgave him and appealed to the entire Jain community to close this chapter once and for all. The monk also agreed to withdraw all the cases against the music composer.”

"I came here on a personal note because I myself felt that it was not good on my part (to criticise the Jain monk). My eyes are now opened by coming here and I have learned so much," said Dadlani.

The music composer was criticised from all quarters for his tweet on Jain monk's speech in Haryana Assembly.

The Jain monk, who belongs to the Digambar Jain sect and does not wear any clothes, had delivered a lecture called 'Kadve Pravachan' in the BJP-ruled Haryana Assembly last month on the invitation of the state government.
