New Delhi, News24 Bureau, May 24: Moon Moon Sen loses her mind after losing her seat to BJP's Babul Supriyo, or so it appears. Her hilarious reaction to media queries on her performance from TMC ticket from Asansol is becoming viral on social media.
There were many takeaways in this election season. Once upon a time, Moon Moon Sen was dubbed the "giant killer" in West Bengal after she defeated a nine-time Left lawmaker from Bengal's Bankura in 2014. She had joined politics then and this was her great entry then.
When she was cornered by media which sought her reaction when she was trailing Babul Suprio he reaction was hilarious. She said that she was very sad as things were not going her way.
She was trolled earlier also when she reacted to the statue vandalism of Vidyasagar, the 19th-century icon of Bengal. She responded casually saying she has no knowledge about this as she got up very late because her bed tea was served late.
When she was asked why she was performing badly this season, she said, "I don't know. You journalists should tell me."What is remarkable is the way she responds to the questions, with a mysterious smile and responding from the corner of her eye. She does not look her normal self and she replies in a weird way.
When asked about the desecration incident, Sen told a news channel after casting her vote: "Things have been polarised for the last six years in Bengal and it wasn't the Bengalis. There may have been a little bit of violence like in other states, but no one talks about the violence in the last five years in Uttar Pradesh...This is a tiny bit of violence."
Sen's comments came on a day when widespread violence and political clashes were witnessed during the seventh and final phase of polling in the state spread across nine Lok Sabha constituencies.
The responses of this 65-year-old actress have amused and shocked, both at the same time, to many.
