Two juveniles held for sexually assaulting Delhi minor

New Delhi: Police arrested two juveniles on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a north Delhi area.

Police said the incident took place on Tuesday morning at around 4 a.m.

"One of the juvenile boys, who are in the age group of 16-17, lured the minor victim, a resident of Jahangirpuri, when she was returning from her neighbouring aunt's house with her younger brother.

"He took her to a nearby park where his juvenile friend was waiting," Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Mahadeo Dumbere told IANS.

"As one of them, who took the victim to the park, sexually assaulted her, his friend waited outside the park with her brother. The victim and her brother later narrated the entire sequence of events to her family members," Dumbere said.

Both the juveniles were arrested and a case was registered against them under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
