New Delhi: The internet was left teary-eyed after watching a touching video that shows two brothers, who were separated during the India-Pakistan Partition in 1947, reunited after 74 years at Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. The emotional clip was posted to Twitter by user Manpreet Singh and has gone viral with over 435k views so far.
Mohammad Siddique and Habib had parted ways in 1947 during the partition of the sub-continent. While Siddique arrived at Kartarpur from Pakistan Faisalabad, his elder brother Habib came from the Phullanwal area of Indian Punjab during the shrine visit. The brothers could not control their emotions and burst into tears of joy after embracing each other and recalling memories. "Brothers meet after 74 years because of 1947! #pakistan #punjab (I admit, I cried)" the caption of the video reads.
The video, needless to mention, has gone viral on social media with thousands of likes and retweets. In the comments section, netizens dropped heart emoticons and shared their thoughts and opinions. One user wrote," I am in tears now". Another user said," This is so emotional, OMG"
