New Delhi: Amazon Prime Video on Thursday unveiled the first look of Mumbai Diaries 26/11 which is based on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and explores the tragic incident from the perspective of doctors. The series stars Mohit Raina and Konkana Sen Sharma in lead roles.
In the teaser, we see how the first responders reacted to the deadly attack. The medical drama then shows doctors, nurses and other hospital staffs making rounds relentlessly amid the chaos as they try to save lives.
The drama series aims to pay tribute to the frontline workers who tirelessly worked to save as many lives as they could after the terror attacks of November 26, 2008.
Going by the teaser, it is evident that Mohit Raina plays the senior surgeon who directs everyone "to go to work" as injured survivors arrive at the hospital.
Created and produced by Nikkhil Advani, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 is directed by Nikhil Gonsalves.

Talking about the series, Nikkhil Advani in a statement said, "We Mumbaikars often discuss where we were on that fateful might when this devastating incident shook the entire city. There have been several shows and films centered on the incident, but no one has explored the doctors' side of it. With this medical drama, we aim to champion the human spirit in the face of unprecedented danger and celebrate the brave doctors who had saved the day while keeping the sensitivity of the topic in mind.
Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals at Amazon Prime Video, also said in a statement: "We are unveiling the first look of the series as an ode to their bravery and sacrifice. The show is a tribute to the spirit of Mumbai. We are extremely happy to collaborate with one of India's finest directors, Nikkhil Advani, to present the untold stories of 26/11."
The series is schedule to stream on Amazon Prime from March 2021.
