Delhi COVID-19 update: Delhi has reported 24,383 new COVID-19 cases and 34 deaths in the last 24 hours. The case positivity rate now stands at 30.64 per cent.
The fresh infections are 15.53 per cent lower than 28,867 cases reported in the capital on Thursday.
After the fresh infections, Delhi now has 92,273 active COVID-19 cases.
In the last 24 hours, 26,236 patients have recovered from COVID-19, Delhi State Health bulletin informed.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Health Minister informed than the national capital will be reporting less than 25,000 cases today. He also informed that more than 13,000, or 88 per cent, of the hospital beds in Delhi are available. This indicates that the number of hospitalisation in the capital in the third wave of pandemic is remarkably lower than the previous wave.
The latest Delhi health bulletin informed that 2,446 COVID-19 positive patients in Delhi are admitted in hospitals, of which 671 are in ICU, 815 are on oxygen support and 99 are on ventilator.
There are 83 COVID suspect patients who have been hospitalised in Delhi.
In the last 24 hours, 79,578 samples were tested for COVID-19 in Delhi.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain also informed earlier on Friday that 75 per cent of people who died of COVID recently were unvaccinated.

As for vaccination, in the last 24 hours, 1,67,374 (1 lakh 67 thousand 3 hundred and 74) beneficiaries were inoculated against COVID. Of these, 1,00,621 (1 lakh 6 hundred and 21) received their first dose, while 42,464 (42 thousand 4 hundred and 64) got their second dose of COVID vaccine.
As many as 24,289 (24 thousand 2 hundred and 89) precautionary dose or booster shot (third dose) were given to people in the last 24 hours.
As many 56,944 (56 thousand 9 hundred and 44) children between 15 and 18 years got their first dose of COVID-19 since yesterday.
