To catch 'tax chors', Devgn appointed Income tax officer

Pancham Saude, New Delhi: After playing Bajirao Singham, an extremely honest cop in the movie Singham, Ajay Devgn will soon be seen playing a no-nonsense Income Tax officer, raiding tax evaders.

Trader analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news via his Twitter account.

Raid is being directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who previously directed films like "No One Killed Jessica" and being written by Ritesh Shah who has written scripts like Pink and Airlift in the past.

The movie is based on real life events and will take us back in our 80's when one of the most high-profile income tax raids ever happened in the country.

When Raid producer Bhushan Kumar was asked about Ajay Devgan and the movie he said, he is a great actor. We have recently produced Baadshaho and now happy to produce Raid.

Shooting will begin in September 2017 and the film is expected to release on April 20th, 2018.
