Thanking News24, Virat says awards are always encouraging

New Delhi, Nov 27: On the occasion of 'Jashn-e-Youngistan' Awards, News24 on Monday will honour one of the most talented athletes of the of the country Virat Kohli for his outstanding achievement in the cricketing world.

Reacting to this Indian captain has posted a video message thanking News24, in the video he said, honouring so many young achievers together is a new thing and getting an award is always a motivation for a player to do more good work and lead with an example to inspire young generation.

Just like his name which means bigger or mightier, Virat has been playing extraordinary on the field from past 9 years of his international career. Before leading the national team Kohli has also led the Indian U-19 cricket team to win the U-19 world cup back in 2008. If his career stats are compared, with 32 centuries in ODIs he is just behind 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar. He is also the fastest batsman to score 15000 international runs in cricket. Born in Delhi, Kohli also leads Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. Kohli made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2008 and was part of the Indian team that won the 2011 World Cup.
