Terrorist involved in arms loot from Kashmir MLA's house arrested


Aasif Suhaf, New Delhi, Nov 15: In Jammu & Kashmir,  a local militant alongwith arms and ammunition was arrested by joint security forces' team from south Kashmir's Pulwama district this evening.

Security sources said that joint security forces team comprising of Police, Army and CRPF had laid check point (Naka) on Lassipora Achan road stretch in Pulwama district around 1700 hrs today.

They said during search exercise an active militant of Hizbul Mujahideen Rafeeq Bhat  of Achan Pulwama was apprehended alongwith one AK 47 rifle, two magazines and 40 live rounds.

They said the arrested militant was active since September 2018.

Sources added that the arrested militant was involved in the looting of weapons from the residence of MLA Wachi Shopian from his Srinagar residence in September this year.

SPO had decamped with about 8 weapons of security guard post.
