New Delhi: The country's leading carmaker Tata Motors on Friday launched the Gold Edition of its popular SUV Safari. The automaker claims that the Tata Safari Gold Edition comes with high-class and high-tech features, claims the company. Along with this, the company also expects that the Safari Gold Edition can perform well in the market during the festive season that starts in a few days.
Tata has introduced the Gold Edition of the Safari in two color options – White Gold and Black Gold. The company claims that the car will have a white gold paint theme; Derived from premium frost white colour. It also gets a black roof, which gives it a dual-tone look. Apart from this, the car also gets a Mont Blanc marble finish mid pad, which gets golden accents.
At the same time, the Black Gold color variant given in this edition gets a black exterior inspired by the coffee bean. Also, there are radiant golden accents on the exteriors. The cabin of this model gets dark marble finish mid pad and golden accents.
The interiors of the Special Edition model also get premium features like Oyster white diamond quilted leather seats, wireless charger, air purifier, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay over WiFi.
Apart from this, on all other fronts, this car is similar to its current model. In terms of performance, the same engine has been given under its boot hood.
Expressing happiness on the launch of Safari Gold, Vivek Shreevats, Head of Marketing, Passenger & Electric Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, "The premium flagship SUV has crossed the 10,000 unit sales milestone within five months of its launch."
"Safari has received immense love from our customers and keeping this response in mind, we are happy to announce the launch of the Gold Edition of Safari," he added.
Tata has fixed a price of Rs 21.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Gold Edition of the Safari. Tata Motors claims that it is the leader in the SUV segment with a 39% (YTD) share in the Indian market and will gain further momentum with the Safari Gold Edition.
