New Delhi, June 28: Tata’s highly anticipated first all-electric vehicle, the Tigor EV has been finally launched. Tata Tigor EV is available in two variants--the Tigor EV XM and Tigor EV XT. The XM variant costs Rs 9.99 lakh while the XT comes in at Rs 10.09 lakh. A three-year or 1.25 lakh kilometre warranty is available with the sedan.
The XT variant features 14-inch alloy wheels and power-adjustable wing mirrors. Both the variants are especially made for the fleet market.
It has a boot space of about 89 litres as compared to the standard model’s 419 litres.
Its an all-electric compact sedan which is available three exterior colour options-white, blue and silver. In terms of safety, it has dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, etc.
The Tigor XM has coloured bumpers and door handles, LED tail-lamps. Apart from that, it has a climate control unit, power windows.
In terms of connectivity, it has a Harman-sourced 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity.
Both the variants are powered by a 16.2kWh battery pack that sends 30kW (41hp) at 4,500rpm and 105Nm of torque at 2,500rpm to the front wheels through a 72V, 3-phase AC induction motor.
The battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 6hr with the help of a standard AC wall socket. While if we use a DC 15kW fast charger, then it would do the same in a claimed 90min.
Tata comes with a three-year/1.25 lakh kilometre warranty with the vehicle and with the battery pack.
The Tata Tigor EV is now only available to fleet operators and not for private buyers.
