New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will be attending the 2-day BJP National Executive meet in Bhubaneswar, but the star attraction for party workers at the meet seems to be somebody else. No prizes for guessing, yes it is UP CM Yogi Adityanath. There is a certain buzz about him, both at the venue and in the city, reports say.
It is not only the grassroot party worker and the common man, the party too has recognised the growing stature of Yogi. He is only CM whose poster is seen on the wall of the meeting hall, though on the wall opposite the dais. He is the only CM who has been found worthy for a place inside the hall. All 13 CMs of BJP-ruled states are attending the meet, but posters of 12 are placed outside the hall, media reports say. Interestingly, this is the same Yogi who was not allowed to speak at the last national executive and walked out in anger.
“We are waiting to see him (Adityanath).God has picked him to serve the country,” a local was quoted as saying by a leading daily.
The local leader of Gorakhpur is no longer local. The party and the opposition have to live with this fact now. No wonder, he is the most sought after neta after PM Modi for the MCD polls here.
