"The sky would remain partly cloudy in the evening," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. According to the Met office, maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius. The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 45 percent. Tuesday's maximum temperature settled at 40.3 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
