New Delhi, Nov 30: Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber were in the spotlight recently when they became proud parents of Nisha Kaur Weber recently following her adoption from Maharashtra's Latur district. The little munchkin of Sunny and Daniel soon became the centre of everyone's attention and grabbed spotlight.
The toddler was barely 21 months old when she was adopted by the couple.
Recently, during an interview with an English daily, Sunny said the fact that Nisha had been adopted would of course be disclosed to her daughter. She went on to say that it's imperative that Nisha knows that her biological mother carried her in her womb for nine months and didn't abandon her. And Sunny is her mother now, after adoption, she has stressed during the interview. Clearly, she doesn't want to keep any secrets from her bundle of joy.
Ever since the arduous adoption process was completed (it took two years) and the parents brought their little daughter home, Sunny and Daniel have been maintaining that they are "hands-on" parents in every sense of the term. Sunny was quoted by a news agency as saying, "It is so amazing to have her. Both Daniel and I are hands-on parents. We bathe her, wash her, change her nappies and feed her. Also when she wakes up, we wake up...Both of us keep on running into her room to say 'good morning' and sometimes we are pushing each other to get in first. We are really happy."
