New Delhi: Indian wrestler Babita Phogat and her husband Vivek Suhag welcomed their first child -- a baby boy -- on Monday. Phogat has taken to social media to share a picture of herself holding her newborn in arms with Suhag by her side and wrote, ""Meet our little SONshine. Believe in dreams; they do come true. Ours came dressed in blue!"
Vivek also took to Twitter to share the picture of his baby and wife. "Meet our little angel he has arrived finally. We are really happy and proud of the blessing. Thanking God for everything! It's a day of great happiness for us as we introduce our baby boy to the world," he wrote.
Babita and Vivek, also a wrestler, had tied the knot in November 2019. The couple had announced in November last year that they are expecting their first child together.
"Every single moment that I spend being your wife, I realize how lucky I am to live such an amazing life. You are my happy place. You complete me. I'm excited & waiting to start this new chapter in my life," Phogat had posted back then on social media with a picture of herself and husband.
Phogat, 31, had won a gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Game, and won a silver each in 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, it was double the celebration for sports fraternity on Monday as earlier in the day cricketer Virat Kohli had announced the arrival of his baby girl.
