Tokyo: Vikas Krishan on Saturday lost his opening bout to Japan's Okazawa in the men's welterweight boxing event in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Now, he has bowed out of the mega event.

Japan's Mensah Okazawa crushed India's Krishan 5-0 in the round of 32 at the Kokugikan Arena here. In Round 1, all five judges gave 10 points to Japan's Okazawa, while Krishan got 9 points from all five judges and as a result, the Indian boxer was trailing. The same fate happened in the second round, and in the end, Krishan was left with a heavy task in the third and final round.
