New Delhi: Daniel Ibrahim has created history in the County Championship for Sussex. Ibrahim scored 55 runs in 134 balls with the help of 8 fours and with this he has become the youngest player to score fifty in the County Championship.
He is currently 16 years and 299 days old. Earlier this record was held in the name of Bilal Shafayat, who scored a half-century against Nottinghamshire in the County Championship at the age of 16 years and 360 days. This is his debut match in the county.
Batting first after losing the toss, Sussex scored 313 runs in the first innings. The team had lost its 4 wickets for just 68 runs. After this, Aaron Thomas made a century partnership for the fifth wicket with Captain Brown. Thomas was dismissed after scoring 40 runs.
After this, Brown shared a 94-run partnership with Daniel Ibrahim for the sixth wicket.
