Chennai: All eyes were on Mumbai cricketer and Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar who is making his Indian Premier League debut in 2021. He was bought by the Mumbai Indians at his base price of 20 lakh.
Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler and a left-handed batsman who played two matches for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 against Haryana.
He was also a part of the MCC squad that played two matches against Namibia Under-19 in England.
Arjun has also played for the Mumbai Under-14, Under-16, and Under-19 teams in history. During the 2017-18 Coach Behar Trophy, Arjun grabbed 19 wickets in 5 matches including two five-wicket hauls.
A just one week ago of the IPL 2021 auction, Arjun hit an unbeaten 31-ball 77 in the 73rd Police Invitation Shield Cricket tournament.
Arjun, a son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, now has an opportunity to prove himself in the upcoming IPL. His father also represented Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013.
