Ahmedabad: Washington Sundar's 96 runs knock helped India to lead by 160 runs on the third day of the fourth test at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
India had resumed from 294/7, where they were at stumps after the end of the second day. Sundar and Axar Patel have added 50 runs in the first hour of the morning session. India now lead by 139 runs.
Earlier, Rishabh Pant was picked up the scraps and stabilised the hosts’ innings with a well-struck 101 off 118 balls.
India are leading the series 2-1 and require just a draw or win to qualify for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand to be held in June.
