Ahmedabad: India have lost essential wicket of Rohit Sharma's(49) to end the second session of Day 2 of the fourth and final Test match, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rishabh Pant is currently unbeaten, and will be aiming to build a partnership with Washington Sundar. Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma lost their wickets after the Lunch break to Jack Leach and Ben Stokes respectively. Opener Rohit also missed out on a half-century.
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were dismissed before Lunch, by Leach and James Anderson respectively. Stokes also took the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli before Lunch.
Earlier, England had bowled out for 205 in their first innings. India are leading the series 2-1 and require just a draw or win to qualify for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand to be held in June.
