This year Sonam’s appearance at Cannes became even more special as hubby Anand Ahuja cheered for her on social media.
The newlywed stunned in two distinctively made lehengas - one made of ‘Starlight’ and another of Special Motifs!
The Veere Di Wedding actor walked the red carpet, in all her bridal glow, at the prestigious film festival on May 14 and like every year, she was at the top of her fashion game.
Just like the previous year, this year too the 32-year-old actor is there at the French Riviera as a brand ambassador of the popular cosmetics brand L’Oréal. The newlywed chose two distinctively made lehengas!
Here's a look at them in some more details:
**For her first outfit, Sonam made her Cannes debut in 2011 as a brand ambassador for L'Oreal Paris. You're always a winner with white, because it gives off connotations of purity and regalness. The outfit had a floor-skimming sleeve, with floral embroidery and studded all over with sequins. The lehenga is styled like the skirt of a gown, and made Sonam look like an Indian princess. The embroidery gives off the appearance of a sheer fabric - thus furthermore being very dreamy, elegant, ethereal, almost goddess like.
** For her second appearance, she again chose a lehenga. She sure didn’t let us down with the desi look. The Bollywood beauty will be attending a charity dinner for an NGO in a beautiful Delpozo outfit. Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor and Deep Kailey, Sonam looked pretty in a mint green midi dress with floral print and tulle sleeves. The actress, is known to be quite the fashionista, had her accessories to the minimum by sporting big green earrings and highlighted eyes. Tulle is like the queen of fabrics this decade. Across the board, designers interpreted the fabric in two very different ways – romantic and rebellious – pairing the delicate material with everything from oriental florals to sportswear and slogan t-shirts.
