New Delhi, News24 Bureau, July 12: Actress Sonakshi Sinha has finally opened up on the alleged cheating case. Sonakshi took to her Twitter handle to clarify the issue.
She tweeted, ''An event organiser who couldn't live up to his commitment obviously thinks he can make a fast buck by maligning my crystal clear image in the press. There is full cooperation with the authorities from my end for the investigation to be conducted. Would request the media not to fan these bizarre claims of an unscrupulous man. Yours honestly and sincerely, Sonakshi Sinha.''
The Dabangg actress was accused of cheating by an event organiser named Pramod Sharma. The complainant told ANI, ''the actress was supposed to perform at an event in Delhi at a stage show on September 13 last year and she was apparently even paid an amount of Rs 24 lacs, but did not turn up and the event management company incurred losses. We have now heard that the Moradabad Police has reached Mumbai. They have gone to Sonakshi’s Juhu residence (Ramayana) to record her statement, but she is currently not at home.''
Notably, Moradabad police visited actress Sonakshi Sinha's house in Mumbai on Thursday in an alleged cheating case filed against her. The actress has been involved in an alleged cheating case that was filed against her in 2018 in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the reports, police visited Sonakshi's residence to record her statement in the case. Reportedly, Sonakshi was not present at her home and police left after waiting for a few hours. It is said that the police will visit Sonakshi's home again today.
However, Sonakshi's spokesperson denied all allegations and stated that it is just an act to malign her image. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the spokesperson said, "In her nine years long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot-free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide."
On the professional front, Sonakshi is prepping for Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg 3'. She is also gearing up for the release of her next titled 'Khandaani Shafakhana'. Sonakshi will also be seen in Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer 'Mission Mangal' and next will be seen in 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India'.
