Slain Apple employee's wife gets appointment letter for government job

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Oct 11: Finally, the widow of slain Apple executive gets an appointment letter for a job with UP government. UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma, in full media glare handed over an appointment letter for a government job to Kalpana Tiwari, wife of the deceased Vivek Tiwari. She says, "I think investigation is going in the right direction, so I am satisfied with the investigation till now."

Vivek Tiwari, who worked with the renowned company Apple, was shot dead early on September 29 when he allegedly refused to stop his car for checking in Lucknow's posh Gomti Nagar neighbourhood.


Two constables, Prashant Chowdhury and Sandeep Kumar, were arrested after an FIR was lodged on basis of a complaint by Tiwari's colleague Sana Khan, who was travelling with him. The two were suspended and there was a section of UP police officials who objected to their suspension. Later these policemen were also suspended. Fund was also raised by Vivek's wife, who is also with the UP police, to legally fight out the matter.
