New Delhi, News24 Bureau, October 13: Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, and Zaira Wasim starrer 'The Sky Is Pink' received much praise by fans as well as critics. But the film noticed a slow start and earned just Rs 2.50 crore on day 1, according to the reports of Box Office India.
According to the reports of the Box Office India, 'The Sky Is Pink' has collected Rs 6.50 crore on day 2. The report further stated that the film has made a growth of 60% and made a collection of Rs 4 crores on day 2.
'The Sky Is Pink' is a romantic drama and an incredible love story based on real life.
In an exclusive interview with News24, Priyanka talking about three years sabbatical from Bollywood jokingly said that 'mujhe tadpana pasand hai'. She continues to add that the gap was not intentional but it happened as she was busy in the shooting of the 'Quantico' TV show. ''As soon as I finished 'Quantico' shoot, I started looking for Bollywood film. I wanted to do a challenging role and finally liked the script of 'The Sky Is Pink','' said Priyanka.
Talking about her experience of working in 'The Sky is Pink', Priyanka said that it is a special film and it is based on the life of real-life couple which is inspiring. They are an extraordinary couple and their love story inspired me a lot.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, film trade analyst Girish Johar talking about 'The Sky Is Pink' said, “It is an upmarket film, a human drama for a limited audience. It will release only in big cities and metros and will possibly open at around Rs 3 - 4 crores. There is some buzz due to Priyanka and Farhan. The performance of the film will largely rely on word of mouth during the second half and the following weekend. It's not a 100 crore film. It should not be a benchmark for an appreciation of a film.”
