New Delhi, Sept 11: If there have been various constant reports about an upcoming movie in Bollywood, it has to be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'.
Many reports about its delay have been around the corners in the industry, however, Shahid Kapoor, who has just returned from his little vacay with family in London and has resumed shooting said in a media interview "We have not yet said anything about any delay. You guys are the ones deciding everything." When asked about the release date, he replied, "You will know very soon."
The movie also stars A-listers like Deepika Padukone, who will be playing a role of Rami Padmini and Ranveer Singh. As for Shahid, he will be seen as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the Indian drama period movie.
Speculations about the delay of the movie's release, a report suggested "'Padmavati' has been postponed from November 17 to April next year. April is a good month as both the Baahubalis had released then. The school holidays start and 'Padmavati' is a Rs.150 crore (approx) film so it will need a prolonged holiday to recover the cost and the fact is, in November there are no holidays. Also, the post-production of the film will take months. There are various battle scenes which need a lot of VFX and that's the major reason the film has been postponed. The second reason is, that some major portions of the film are still to be shot on the principal actors, including Shahid, Ranveer, Deepika and Sanjay Dutt's entire portion. Dutt plays Ranveer's (Alauddin Khalji) father in the film."
The movie is set to release on 17th November this year but if the reports are to be believed, it is only next year that fans would be able to see Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next flick!
