New Delhi, Nov 11: It is known that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming Indian histroy period movie Padmavati is tanged with a string of controversies and however, looks like there is a new one adding to it!
Earlier, according to the reports, filmmaker's team had decided to send Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 11 to promote the movie. Where, Shahid opted out of promoting the movie with Deepika on Bigg Boss 11, it lead to the the actors doing promotions separately.
A recent report suggested “Deepika is going on BB11 alone to promote Padmavati and so will Ranveer go on his own, separately but Shahid is not going on Salman’s show at all. The actress will first make an appearance on the show during the first week of December ((Padmavati releases on December 1) and she will be followed by Ranveer after that. It was a unilateral call taken by Bhansali and his team, in the light of various controversies erupting over the release of the film. They decided it was best that Deepika and Ranveer not to come together on a common platform and promote the film at all – on any television show. Deepika, Ranveer and the creative and marketing teams of Padmavati have decided that the two stars won’t promote the film together on any television show on any platform. As far as Shahid is concerned, apparently he is upset with the way the makers are publicizing the film and highlighting Ranveer more than him, so he will come on other shows in solo appearances. Of course, all the lead actors have to show their unity with Bhansali hence all will maintain that in public and pretend everything is just fine. In private however, it is a different story.”
Also, earlier where everyone was set to come together to promote the movie in Ahmedabad today, the show got canceled a couple of days ago and a source revealed “One doesn’t know why the Ahmedabad show got cancelled as a promotional schedule had been chalked out and Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid’s dates had been coordinated. It was for the first time that the trio were coming together on a common platform but now it’s not happening. People have created a controversy about a dream sequence between Deepika and Ranveer and the makers including Bhansali have gone hoarse denying it. There is no dream or romantic sequence between them at all, in fact they don’t even meet in the film, but the Padmavati team didn’t want to take a chance and bring them on a public platform together and create more controversy."
Padmavati will release on 1st December this year.
