Security forces kill Jaish chief Masood Azhar's nephew, deputy chief of sniper squad in Kashmir

New Delhi, Oct 30: In Jammu & Kashmir, security forces said they achieved a big success in Kashmir by neutralizing Commander Usman Hyder of Jaish e Muhammad outfit during a fierce encounter in Midoora Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district today.Usman Hyder was the nephew of Jaish Chief Moulana Masood Azhar of Pakistan. He was son of Moulana's elder brother Ameer Mukhtar.Militant outfit Jaish's e Muhammad released a video "eulogising sacrifice of Usman Hyder" and another picture highlighting slogans to avenge Hyder's killing in near future. The outfit identified him Deputy Chief of Sniper Squad in Kashmir.Security sources said one damaged M4 Rifle fitted with telescope (same carried by Usman Hyder in one of his file pictures) was recovered from the encounter site.In recent days, three security personnel were killed during Jaish's sniper attacks in Tral and Srinagar. This M4 Rifle is US made normally used by NATO forces in Afghanistan.Another slain militant is a Pakistani and third one local. Their identity is yet to be ascertained.Earlier, joint security forces  team of Army,  SOG of J&K Police and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in the Midoora area on a specific information about the presence of militants.Security sources said the residential house where three militants were hiding caught fire in cross firing.

                                     (Image Courtesy: News24)As the joint team of forces zeroed in on the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering an encounter in which three armed militants were killed.Jaish has revived in South Kashmir's Tral area and  other areas as well. The recent sniper attack killing CISF officer in a nocturnal attack in Srinagar outskirts shows Jaish's foothold in Srinagar areas as well.Reports of heavy clashes outside gunfight site area were received.  Local youths through stone pelting tried to disrupt counter militant operation in the area. There was no report of any civilian injuries during clashes between protesters and security forces.The situation in the Midoora and other areas in the Tral town, was reported tense following killing of Jaish Commander and other two militants militants in the encounter.Today's killings would trigger spontaneous lockdown or halt in normal life activities on Wednesday tomorrow in Tral and some other adjacent areas.
