New Delhi,20 April: Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal, on Friday apologised for her statement on Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief late Hemant Karkare. She said that if her statement is strengthening her rivals then it is better for her to take her statement back.Sadhvi Pragya earlier said that Hemant Karkare died because of his karma. "Hemant Karkare falsely implicated me [in Malegaon blasts] and treated me very badly. I told him your entire dynasty will be erased. He died of his karma," Sadhvi Pragya said. Later, Sadhvi Pragya took back her statement on Hemant Karkare and apologised for her remarks.Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was announced Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Bhopal candidate on Wednesday. Since then, Sadhvi Pragya's candidature has raised concerns nationwide. From Mehbooba Mufti to Asaduddin Owaisi, many national leaders came out to criticise the BJP and Sadhvi Pragya, who is out on bail.Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, on Friday said that former Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare, who died in action during the Mumbai terror attacks, had treated her "very badly".Sadhvi Pragya said, "If my statement is giving strength to our [BJP] rivals, I am taking back my words on Hemant Karkare."
