Rajnath Singh reaches out to Kashmir, says will come even 50 times

New Delhi, Sep 11: Union Home Minster Rajnath Singh was at his enthusiastic best and sounded optimist when he was addressing the vital issues concerning Kashmir. The Home Minister is on a four-day visit to Kashmir and had said at the very outset that he was there with an 'open mind'. 

He emphatically said that even if he had to come 50 times to address the issues related to Kashmir, he will adding, " I would like to talk to all the stakeholders, I have always said this. I am not here keeping any reservation in mind."

He said that he wanted to appeal to all tourists and tourist organizations that people of Kashmir are ready to welcome them, adding that they all want to turn it into heaven again.

According to the Home Minister the situation in Kashmir Valley has improved. "Due to cost escalation the PM Development Package for J&K is set to cross more than 1 lakh crores," said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Srinagar.

Earlier the BJP had said that Home Minister Rajnath Singh had come to the Valley with an "open mind" and expressed confidence that his meetings would bring about a resolution to the problems in the strife-torn state.

"Singh has already said that he has come with an open heart and mind to talk to people. He will speak to anybody who comes to meet him," J&K state BJP general secretary (organisation) Ashok Kaul told reporters here.

Kaul along with BJP legislators Surinder Ambardar and G L Raina inaugurated a private diagnostic lab under the Startup India programme here.

Ahead of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Home Minister had said, "I am going with an open mind and I am willing to meet all those who come to meet me. We want a resolution to the problems.
