Rahul Gandhi in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh; to visit goddess who blesses with power, fame


New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Oct 15: AICC president Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Datia and Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Gandhi will address many rallies and will do road shows as well. On top priority is puja at the Peetambhara Peeth Temple or Goddess Bagulamukhi. She is known to bestow power and fame to her devotees.
Many bigwigs from leading politicians to big Bollywood celebrities have come to bow head before the goddess Pitambhara of Datia.

He is travelling by a chopper to Datia and will offer puja at the Peetambhara Peeth Temple which is popularly known as the Bagulamukhi temple. Politicians visit this Shaktipeeth to get the blessing from Maa Bagulamukhi who is considered the goddess of power and position.




It is also said that Rahul Gandhi's great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru had come to visit this temple when there was a war with China and Russia had refused any co-operation. On the ninth day of the special puja performed at this temple by the then prime minister, China stopped the war.

Shri Peetambra Peetha is a complex of Hindu temples, located in the city of Datia, in the Madhya Pradesh state of central India. It was, according to many legends 'Tapasthali' of many mythological as well as real-life people.

Even his grandmother had come to pay obeisance at the temple after she faced a terrible defeat in elections.
On Tuesday Congress president will visit gurdwara inside Gwalior Fort and travel to Sheopur to address a rally there.
