New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Jan 23: Congress President Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day tour of his parliamentary constituency Amethi from today, and was surrounded by the curious media which wanted him to respond to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's official entry into politics. Co-incidentally it was announced today itself that Priyanka has been appointed Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East which means that she has been pitched against the BJP star-campaigner and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.Rahul said he was very happy that his sister Priyanka will assist him in UP in the Lok Sabha polls. "She is very capable. We will play on the front foot, not backfoot," he said, and added, "Priyanka Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Scindia are powerful leaders. We wanted the young leaders to change Uttar Pradesh politics. Jyotiraditya Scindia bhi bahut dynamic leader hain. BJP wale ghabraaye hue hain. The BJP is scared."On the BSP-SP alliance in the UP, Rahul added, "We have no enmity with Mayawatiji and Akhileshji. In fact, I respect them a lot. We are ready to cooperate with them wherever possible.
