New Delhi, News24 Bureau, July 19: The makers of 'Saaho' announced that the release date of Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer has bee postponed. The film will now release on August 30.
'Saaho' was earlier scheduled to release on August 15 along with Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Mangal' and John Abraham's 'Batla House'. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to announce the new release date of 'Saaho'.
The makers of 'Saaho' released a statement quoting the statement of the producers which read as ''We want to bring the best to the audience. For bringing fitness to the action sequences we need some more time. Although we are shifting the date from Independence Day but we want to stick to the month of Independence and patriotism with Saaho. We are dedicated to bringing the biggest movie on the largest scale.''
The statement further read as ''The movie was set for a release on August 15 this year but as we know it, the makers are not ready to serve the audience with any compromise on quality with the movie riding big on high-octane action sequences and never seen ever long action-packed storyline.
The teaser of 'Saaho' released recently and it got released in four languages. It promotes "Saaho" as India's biggest action thriller film and going by the visuals, one can't doubt what the makers have set out to deliver.
Directed by Sujeeth, the film has been made on a budget of over Rs 300 crore. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunky Panday among others.
