New Delhi, June 13: In times of crisis and national grief if there is one voice which is heard constantly it is that of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan or Big B as he is fondly called.Big B honoured another promise he made to the martyr families of the Pulwama terror attack after helping the farmers in Bihar by paying off their loans.
On multiple occasions, Big B has expressed that his heart beats for the poor and the downtrodden and especially for the 'Kisan' and 'Jawan'.
On Wednesday Bachchan along with his children, Abhishek and Shweta welcomed and honoured the family members of the martyrs of the Pulwama Attack.
Shilp Yadav, wife of martyr Avdhesh Yadav was also present as Big B felicitated them with a letter and a cheque.
Not only this Big B also assured the family members of the brave martyrs that he is with them in all their joys and sorrows.
"Now going to Janak to complete another promise... to give some monetary assist to the martyrs' families, who sacrificed their lives at Pulwama...", Amitabh Bachchan had said after helping the debt-ridden farmers of Bihar.
Bachchan had earlier supported 1,398 farmers from Uttar Pradesh and 350 from Maharashtra by paying off their loans.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday said he helped to clear outstanding loans of over two thousand farmers from Bihar.
The 76-year-old actor took to his personal blog to share the news.
Bachchan said he called on some of the farmers to his residence and donated the amount at the hands of his children Shweta and Abhishek.
"A promise made done. The farmers from Bihar who had outstanding loans picked 2,100 of them and paid off their amount with an OTS with the bank. Called some of them over to Janak and personally gave it to them at the hands of Shweta and Abhishek," he wrote on his blog.
