Mumbai: Sunny Leone is back in news. This time for all the wrong reasons. She has been the face of an Ad campaign, and quite successful one too, of a leading brand. Now the same campaign that won her accolades in the ad world, has landed her in trouble.
The women's wing of Republican Party of India (Athawale faction) has objected to a condom advertisement (TV commercial) featuring the actress Sunny Leone for its "obscene expressions".
Sheela Gangurde, national secretary of RPI's women's wing, said in a statement here that she had taken up the issue with the Union I&B Ministry.
"Expressions of the actor in this advertisement are obscene and against the Indian culture," she said. If the government didn't act, RPI will approach the State Women's Commission, she said.
