Kangana Ranaut does not believe in mincing words and as expected, She was all fiery in her debut episode on Koffee With Karan Season 5.
From casually hinting at Johar’s snobbery and uppity ways to being brutal about how he made fun of her accent once upon a time, Kangana was on a roll even as her Rangoon co-star Saif Ali Khan only manage to gape at the actress and raise eyebrows.
Mid-way through the show, The 'Rangoon' actress declared Karan has "verbal diarrhea." Very politely, Kangana referred to Karan as an example of nepotism in Bollywood. Kangana, who continued to deadpan, also confessed that Karan has been the "driving force" in her life.
Karan Johar said some wonderful words in her appreciation and she not only accepted it but made it clear that it was long overdue and also gave Karan a reality check while she was at it.
When asked if it bothers her that some of her industry peers still don't recognise her even after delivering a Rs 150-plus-crore hit in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Ranaut, who has been busy promoting Rangoon, said, "No, I don't seek it from people like Karan Johar for sure. There are people I look up to and who can make a difference by simply acknowledging and appreciating you work."
