New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput and his ex-lover Kareena Kapoor became proud mothers of two beautiful children Misha and Taimur last year. But both have different viewpoints about motherhood.
A few days back, new mommies shared their idea of motherhood and it somehow clashed.
Recently, Kareena was criticised for resuming work within few days of delivery. Whereas, Mira was judged on her 'puppy' comment.
In a recent interview, Kareena said, "What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur.''
"Every pregnancy and every mother's journey with her child during those nine months and afterward is different. You can't draw parallels. No one out there really knows me or what I am feeling at a given time. How can anyone decide on my behalf whether I am supposed to feel depressed or if I can step out before 45 days? If I'm spoken about like that, what would it be like for other women?" she added.
According to media reports, Mira Rajput is upset with his Hubby's ex-girlfriend as she thinks that the actress might have taken an indirect dig at her.
Earlier, Mira, sharing her viewpoint on motherhood said," I had a tough pregnancy, I went to those 5 months of difficult times to bring my daughter into this world. So now I want to spend every moment that I can with her and I think there is a set of responsibilities around my plate and I feel at my age I have a lot more energy, I have my future ahead of me, so I can finish all of my responsibility and I have nothing in my way. I can raise my daughter, I can be a good wife. Nothing will stop me after that. I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn't want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her?"
Mira Rajput had further added, ''She is not a puppy; I want to be there for her as a mother.''
Kareena and Shahid famously dated between 2004-2007. After their break-up, Kareena went on to date Saif Ali Khan and eventually married him in 2012.
Shahid tied the knot with Mira Rajput in 2015 and their alliance was fixed by their respective parents. Incidentally, both Kareena and Shahid became first-time parents last year.
Talking about his daughter, Misha and fatherhood, the 36-year-old actor said he is loving the new chapter of his life as nothing is more delightful than watching his daughter waking up next to him every morning.
"Being a first timer, there's a lot to learn. I'm very new at it. All I can say is that it's the most enriching, empowering and beautiful experiences of my life." The actor said his little angel is his only source of positivity and happiness.
"Misha is a package of positivity, which I wake up to every morning next to me. Even on my worst days, she gives me reasons to smile and I just feel very fortunate to be where I am and I hope that I can be a good father and a good parent."
When asked if he is already involved in her life, Shahid says, "I've been told that I'm over-involved and I need to calm down a little bit."
